GA4 and GTM tag checker

Is your tracking code on the page?

Type an address. We list the measurement tags found in the page's HTML (GA4, Google Tag Manager and others) with their IDs. Free, no signup, nothing is stored.

One page per check. We fetch it the way a crawler does, without a browser, and keep nothing.

What it checks

Measurement tags are the snippets Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and similar tools add to a page. The tool reads the page's HTML and lists the measurement IDs it finds (for example G-XXXX or GTM-XXXX).

Why it matters

A theme update, a new cookie plugin or a reworked template can remove a tag. The site keeps working; only the data stops, and that is usually noticed when the monthly report comes back empty.

How to fix it

  1. If no tag shows up, check that the snippet is still added to the head of your theme or page builder.
  2. If the tag only loads after cookie consent, this tool may not see it; verify it with Google Tag Assistant in a session where consent is given.
  3. If you see more than one GA4 ID, check whether an old property is still being loaded.
Questions

What people ask next.

My tag is there, but the tool cannot find it. Why?

The tool does not run a browser; it reads the HTML the server sends. Tags added later by JavaScript, or only after cookie consent, do not appear here.

Which tags does it recognise?

Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, Hotjar and LinkedIn Insight, and it shows every ID it finds as it is.

Not once. Every day.

This check is today's snapshot. Crawlens runs the same checks on your clients' sites on a schedule and tells you, with the evidence, when something breaks.
